You want to turn the dress into your Dream Gown for your Special Event. Fit is everything. Which is why when it comes to your wedding dress, alterations are also everything.
Once you've found your dress, take it to a pro who can fit it perfectly to your figure. Most gowns need some sort of alterations, and the scope of work can vary greatly, depending on where you purchase your gown and how many changes need to be made.
Wedding gowns have so many complex details—boning, hems, bustles etc., so remember, this isn’t a job for your local dry cleaner.

We provide full range of dress alterations services such as tailoring, custom fitting, resizing, reshaping and altering all types of women's garments.
Whether you purchased your wedding dress in a boutique, online store or you borrowed a gown from a friend, you can bring it to us to make it perfect fit.
First step you want to make is to schedule your first fitting appointment. The easiest way to do that is to use our online scheduling platform. Please click on Make Appointment button in main menu to open it. For brides we recommend to get an appointment starting 2-3 months before the wedding date. Bridesmaids and special occasion should start 6-8 weeks before the event date.
Typically, the alteration process takes two fitting appointments, but sometimes it requires three. Your first appointment runs about an hour for wedding gowns and a bit less for bridesmaid or formal dresses.
At the second appointment, likely, your dress will be 100% ready. You’ll see the work that has been done on your dress. You’ll try your dress on and make sure that all your concerns from the first fitting have been fixed, you can move comfortably in your gown and it fits you perfectly.

I have a rather poofy wedding gown. I needed some of the cleavage sewn up, as well as a bustle, shortened sleeves, and some length taken off so I wouldn’t trip in it.
There was a lot of work that needed to be done since the dress has so many layers. When I tried it on, it fit me flawlessly! I was so excited - I got that same joy that I had when I first found the dress in the store. She even saved some of the extra fabric scraps for me in case I wanted them for my bouquet!
During my fitting, her and I had great conversations about her culture and what it was like for her moving to the US.
Since I needed a lot of fabric pinned and I needed to stand still for a long time, she kept checking to make sure I didn’t need a break to sit down and have some tea. She was very sweet and accommodating.

Before alterations, my wedding dress felt immodest. The size I tried on at the store and the size I needed were so different that the dress looked different when it was in my size - it was way too busty, and it made me feel uncomfortable.
Aleksandra used applique from another part of my dress to fill in the gap between my breasts, she raised up the sleeves to make them 3/4 length, and she braved the many layers to accommodate my wish to wear flats on my wedding day. She did all this in a timely and professional fashion.
