Hi Aleksandra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been making women’s clothing my entire life, since I was fifteen. At twenty, I made my first wedding dress. I enjoyed the process so much and became so captivated by it that it became my life’s work.
After moving to the United States, I decided to continue pursuing my passion. The experience and knowledge I gained over the years helped me to understand the market. That’s how I came up with the idea of opening my own Wedding Dress Alterations studio.
Knowing and understanding the technology of the wedding dress sewing process, as well as focusing my attention to the smallest details and craftsmanship truly brings my customer vision into life and made them feel beautiful and confident on their important day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any new business, the starting up process required a great deal of effort, money, time, and patience. Buying professional sewing equipment, creating a website, looking for clients. Starting a business in a new country from scratch was incredibly challenging.

Most gowns need some sort of alteration, and the scope of work can vary greatly, depending on where you purchase your gown and how many changes need to be made.
